Amy Jones Takes the Spotlight in Gymspire and Cardiff Competitions
In a dazzling display of gymnastic prowess, Year 8 pupil Amy Jones from Ysgol Treffynnon has emerged as a rising star, leaving her mark in Welsh Gymspire competitions.
Amy's journey began, where she proudly represented the North Team. Demonstrating remarkable skill and determination, she clinched the top spot on the vault and trampette apparatus, while securing a commendable 3rd place on the floor exercise. This performance earned her a well-deserved second place overall.
Amy then qualified for the next level, competing in Cardiff, representing the North Area. Undeterred by the heightened competition, Amy continued to shine, claiming the 1st place on the vault, 6th on the floor, and 3rd on the trampette. The cumulative result of her outstanding efforts secured her a remarkable 2nd place overall in the Cardiff competition.
Not only did Amy's individual accomplishments stand out, but she also contributed significantly to the success of her North Area team, which earned a commendable 2nd place overall. The collective achievement of the team further underscores the depth of talent in the North Area's gymnastic community.
