LA Govenor / Community Governor
We are looking for Local Authority Governors and Community Governors with relevant experience.
Ysgol Treffynnon are looking to recruit innovative and committed individuals who share our vision for high quality education to become governors at our school.
Do you have a genuine desire to help improve standards of education within our school in partnership with the Headteacher and Governing Body? We are looking for Community or Local Authority governors who has knowledge and understanding of modern education issues as well as a knowledge and interest within the community of Holywell.
You would need to commit to regular attendance at full governing body meetings, as well as any meetings of any committees of the governing body to which you are elected. We are seeking new members of the governing body who have relevant skills, knowledge and experience that match the challenges of our school.
The role of a governor would be to drive the school at a strategic level. You will bring an outside perspective to the running of the school, supporting and challenging by asking the what, why, how and when of our senior leadership team. Governors use their own professional skills and life experience to compliment school staff to ensure Ysgol Treffynnon continue to provide exceptional education for our local community and is able to be agile and responsive to our current and future needs.

The Governor Appointments Panel will consider on the basis of the contribution applicants can bring to a school in terms of their skills and experience.

Actual Salary Grade G02 – SCP 5-8 £22,005 - £23,073 (TT)*
37 hours per week |Term Time Only + 5 Training Days | Permanent

Ysgol Treffynnon is situated on a modern learning campus, which it shares with a primary school, Ysgol Maes Y Felin. The design of the learning campus is beautiful, unique, and innovative, possessing state-of-the-art multifunctional classrooms throughout.
We are looking for a highly motivated Design Technology Technician who will provide high-quality technical support to our Design Technology and Food Technology departments. The technician will play a vital role in preparing and maintaining tools, supplies, and resources, ensuring that both staff and students can safely and efficiently engage in practical learning. Your support will help create an engaging, hands-on environment for students. Key attributes will include flexibility, an approachable and positive manner, and an ability to work effectively with children aged 11-16.
