Dr Christina McMinn
Originally from Connah’s Quay, I am an ex pupil of Golftyn CP and Ysgol Maes Garmon. Leaving school at 16, I studied part time at Deeside College gaining a BTEC in Physical Sciences. Encouraged by my physics lecturer I returned to full time education obtaining a first-class honours degree in Applied Chemistry and a PHD in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from Liverpool Polytechnic (which became John Moors University).
I have taken an unconventional career path through a combination of vocational training and academic education. My love of Chemistry, Statistics and Process Engineering has provided me with a varied and interesting career working in diverse industries including OEE Management Consulting, Tata Chemicals, Sellafield Ltd and the NHS.
