Chair of Governors
Prior to retirement, Jane worked for the North Wales Probation Service as a Bail Information Officer and a Court Duty Officer. Through that experience she became very interested in Mental Health Issues and developed considerable expertise in this area of work.

Also in the mid-nineties she was asked to join the Board of Governors of Yale Further Education College in Wrexham, and quickly became Chair of the Audit Committee. She was elected Chair of the Yale Board for the two years prior to merger with Deeside College to create Coleg Cambria.
After the North East Wales colleges merged, she was invited to continue as a governor and was instrumental in forging the high-performing team that led the College to become one of the largest and most successful FE Institutions in the UK. She maintained her interest in finance and audit as Vice Chair of that Committee. Jane retired from the Cambria Board in February 2019, having served her term of office.
She is a community governor of Elfed High School, serving on three committees: Sport and Leisure, Finance and Curriculum.
She is also the Link Governor for Additional Learning Needs as well as being a member of the Staff Recruitment Interview Panel and Disciplinary Committee.
Jane’s involvement in school and college governance spans more than twenty years and in that time she has developed the skills and knowledge to help Ysgol Treffynnon develop and achieve its ambition to be excellent in all it does.
